Welcome to London Ships exciting new blog we'll update you our followers with the latest news and events of everything that London Ships are up to. First a little about our selves.

Britain, at heart, is a maritime nation, dependent upon the seas for trade. The historic ships based in London provide a valuable source of information and inspiration, as well as facilities to inform and educate visitors about Britain’s maritime heritage. London SHIPS aims to increase the awareness of the work of the historic and museum ships based in London. The member vessels are: The Golden Hinde,Clipper Ship Cutty Sark, SS Robin, HQS Wellington, Fire Boat Massey Shaw, and HMS Belfast.

Mission
The British nation is at heart a maritime nation, dependent upon the seas for our trade and ensuring this is safely and securely conducted. Sea trade and its security depends upon ships and a supporting infrastructure. Over the past few decades, there has been a diminution in the public perception of the conduct and importance sea business; the historic ships based in London provide a valuable source of information and inspiration, as well as facilities to inform and educate the public on our need of the sea and a sea vision.
